Carrie (she,her,hers) is a clinical mental health counselor (CMHC) and a PhD in Counseling. She obtained her CMHC degree from Westminster College and her PhD from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. She has a strong passion for promoting mental health and wellness. Carrie has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in diverse clinical settings in several different states.
Carrie’s expertise includes working with LGBTQIA+ populations, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Bipolar Disorders, addiction, and personality disorders. She has several specializations, including trauma-focused modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman Couples therapy, and CBT/DBT/ACT and Cognitive Processing. She has extensive experience in psychiatric settings and can work closely with your prescriber (psychiatrist, nurse practitioner) in supporting your mental health goals. Carrie also enjoys psychological assessment and diagnosis, including assisting with work or school accommodations for mental health concerns. Finally, Carrie is also fluent in Spanish and enjoys working and advocating for all members of our community.
When not working, Carrie enjoys visiting theme parks and riding roller coasters- the faster the better! She also enjoys spending time with animals, and especially her cats Sunny and Benny
