Joe is working toward a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Utah and has years of experience in the personal training and first response fields.

Throughout this past year, Joe worked with kids, teens, and adults who were suffering with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Joe uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a strength-based therapeutic modality to help his clients focus on highlighting their own internal strengths to fortify their mental well-being.

Joe believes in meeting clients where they are with respect, dignity, and kindness. He will focus on creating a judgment-free environment where growth and learning are accessible and centers his practice around elevating the unique strengths that each client possesses.

Joe also has a strong passion for cultivating an encouraging environment for men. As men are traditionally expected to internalize the pressures of daily life, mental health is not an aspect of overall health that many men consider a priority. Yet men deserve an environment where they, too, can have conversations without being judged, measured against someone else, or made to feel that their mental well-being is unimportant.

In his down time, Joe loves spending time with his wife and daughters, practicing martial arts, hunting, and enjoying nature.
