Originally from Iowa, Sarah is a compassionate and empowering clinician who works with children over the age of 5, adolescents, adults, elders, couples, and families. She is passionate about helping clients overcome life’s challenges while building on the unique strengths, talents, and experiences they already possess.
Sarah is passionate about interpersonal relationships and enjoys utilizing the Gottman method with couples. She is also here to help clients navigating divorce.
Sarah takes a strengths-based, client-centered approach to therapy, integrating a holistic lens that considers each individual’s physical, mental, social, and emotional wellbeing. Her goal is to help clients restore balance, increase resilience, and develop practical tools that support lasting growth. She has experience working in a variety of settings and specializes in anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, self-esteem, and family and relationship concerns.
Sarah understands how important it is to find a therapist you truly trust and connect with. She prioritizes creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to implement meaningful skills and strategies that enhance their overall wellbeing.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Central College in Pella, Iowa, and her Master’s degree in Social Work with a Child and Family Concentration from Illinois State University.
Outside of her clinical work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, being outdoors, thrift shopping, reading, going to brunch, attending live theater performances, and cooking.
