A supportive space to be heard, understood, and encouraged can make all the difference in the healing process.
Shay is a compassionate therapist with a strong foundation in social work and child development. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, completing a double major in Human Development and Family Studies and Social Work, and went on to receive her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California.
Shay works with children (ages five and up), teens, and adult women, creating a warm, safe environment where clients can explore emotions, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. She supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, sexual trauma, grief, ADHD, postpartum and relationship challenges. Shay especially enjoys helping children and teens better understand their emotions and develop healthy coping skills.
Her therapeutic approach integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play therapy, attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness practices. With adult clients, Shay often helps individuals explore how early life experiences influence present patterns, fostering deeper self-understanding, emotional growth, and confidence. Shay has training in trauma-informed care and works with survivors of sexual abuse, supporting clients as they process difficult experiences while prioritizing safety, empowerment, and healing.
Shay believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful healing. By creating a space where clients feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood, she empowers them to develop new skills and build lasting emotional well-being.
Outside of her clinical work, Shay enjoys spending time with her husband and family, traveling, crocheting, and playing games. She values the same connection and balance in her own life that she encourages clients to build in theirs.
If you’re seeking a supportive space for yourself or your child to explore emotions, build resilience, and grow, Shay would be honored to work with you.
