Valerie is a compassionate therapist who works with individuals 9+, helping clients navigate life’s challenges with understanding and practical tools for growth. She specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, attachment concerns, and body image, and is passionate about providing inclusive and affirming care, including for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Her therapeutic approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, focusing on creating a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and build meaningful change. Valerie integrates evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and she is also trained in EMDR.
Valerie believes that everyone deserves compassion, healing, and the opportunity to grow. Her goal is to help clients feel empowered as they develop insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Valerie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from Utah Valley University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She brings experience supporting clients from diverse backgrounds and across a wide range of emotional and relational concerns.
Outside of her clinical work, Valerie enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling. She finds that spending time in nature helps her stay grounded and connected.
